Cobblestone from Smooth Stone: A custom recipe to get 9 cobblestone from 9 smooth stone in a crafting table. With mending on all our tools, Silk Touch is so common now that actually getting cobblestone when you need it is tedious for no real reason. This one is simply a time saver. Placing down and mining your smooth stone still works.

Gravel from Cobblestone: A custom recipe to get 4 Gravel Blocks from 4 Cobblestone blocks. Helps with concrete powder without having to spend a longer time mining. Simply a time saver.

Sand from Gravel: A custom recipe to get 8 sand from 8 gravel surrounding white dye. Helps with concrete powder without having to spend a longer time mining. Also helps save our deserts!

Red Sand from Sand: A custom recipe to get 8 red sand from 8 regular sand and 1 red dye. This is one of the hardest blocks in the game to find, and you immediately ruin any area that has it if you want it in large quantities!

Better Netherbrick: Here’s a SMELTING custom recipe. This would completely remove the netherbrick item from the game. It’s only used to create nether brick blocks and red nether brick blocks. But now, you simply smelt 1 netherrack and get 1 nether brick block. We all have hundreds of thousands of blocks of netherrack. It’s just dumb that you can only get 1 brick block per 4 netherrack. Just make it 1 to 1.

Better Red Nether Brick Blocks: Treat red netherrack as a “dye-able” block…but with netherwart. Instead of 2 netherbricks and 2 netherwart, just throw 8 nether brick blocks and 1 netherwart in a crafting table and get 8 Red Nether Brick Blocks.
